A balaclava-clad man was found dozing behind the wheel of a car that had stopped in the middle of a Melbourne road overnight.
Victoria Police officers made the surprising discovery when they went to check a stationary car on Broadway in Elwood at about 3am Thursday.

Inside, they found the man wearing a balaclava, allegedly unresponsive at the wheel with drug paraphernalia in his hand.
The 32-year-old was met with a rude awakening when he opened his eyes to find police searching his vehicle.
Officers allegedly discovered a fake firearm, a tomahawk, stolen property and up to $2900 in counterfeit money in the car.
A police spokesperson said the Essendon man was arrested and is assisting police.
