Mr Hart said that buying a Powerhit ticket is one of the best ways to increase your chances of winning big when Kochie made the blunder.

“That’s the expensive one, but it increases your chances doesn’t’ it? Because, what’s the ball, the blue ball at the end…”

“The Powerball? Natalie asked her confused colleague, before pointing out “that’s why it’s called Powerball” and bursting into laughter.

“Alright thank you Matt, let’s move on,” he said, before lightly tapping Nat with his script.

“Alright, okay.

“You get to ask some dumb questions sometimes on live TV and that was one of them.”

Up to one-in-four Aussie adults are expected to have an entry for Thursday’s $80 million Powerball jackpot.

It is Australia’s biggest lottery prize of 2022 so far.

Should one person take home the mammoth prize, they’ll not only be Powerball’s second division one winner of the year but also share the title of Australia’s third-biggest lottery winner ever.

Entries close at 7.30pm AEST on Thursday 17 February 2022, with the draw held an hour later.
