Sharing on a popular Facebook page, the woman revealed how she used Autosol Metal Polish to make her sink look brand new again.

Photos posted by the home owner shows the basin looking sparkling and shiny thanks to the $8.95 buy, which promises to “restore that unburnished shine to your metal surfaces”.

“Have just polished my kitchen sink using Autosol available at Supercheap Auto – WOW!” she wrote on the Mums Who Clean Facebook page.

“Was sick and tired of it looking dull – bit of elbow grease involved, but well worth the effort.”

Many Facebook users were blown away by the results create by Autosol, which is reportedly safe to use on food preparation areas.

“That sink looks so good … if I did this I’d probably cover it up and wouldn’t want to use it. Gotta love a gleaming sink!” said one.

Added another: “Well, sent my husband out to buy some while he was on lunch!”

Wrote a third: “Now that IS epic.”

Said one more: “So satisfying.”

Another responded that the sink “looks brand new”.

One Autosol fan described her technique for using the product, saying it was “messy work” – but worth the effort.

“This stiff is amazing! If you have dull metal of any kind, use this. I used to polish all the EPNS for the op shop I worked at. Would give it a beautiful finish.

“Apply with any kind of cloth, polish off with a soft cloth after, like flannelette. I had so much fun doing it. Having said that, it’s messy work.”

Added another: “OMG, I’m getting some of this.”

One more wrote: “That’s spectacular!”
