A woman has died in a horror head-on crash in northeastern NSW.
Police rushed to the aid of the female driver and performed CPR, however, she could not be saved and died at the scene.
The woman, who is yet to be formally identified, is believed to be aged in her 50s.

She was driving a Mazda 2 hatchback southbound when the collision occurred with a northbound truck and trailer on Wednesday on the Bruxner Hwy at Loftville, about 7km southwest of Lismore.
Paramedics treated the male truck driver for minor injuries before he was taken to Lismore Base Hospital for mandatory testing.
Another car, a Mazda CX-7 also driving south, sustained minor damage in the crash but the driver was not injured.
NSW Police have set up a crime scene as they work to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Motorists are urged to avoid Bruxner Hwy, which is closed in both directions.
Diversions are in place at Caniaba and Coraki Rds.
