Moiler was charged with one count of aggravated grievous bodily harm and appeared in court on Sunday. He did not apply for bail.
Police said they had been called to reports of a vehicle fire near the corner of Honey St and Mill End about 6.25pm Friday.
When they arrived they found two people with burn injuries.
A woman in her 30s was flown to Fiona Stanley Hospital by the RAC rescue helicopter. Moiler, who sustained less serious burns, was taken to the same hospital by ambulance.
The woman’s loved ones have started a fundraising effort to cover medical expenses to help her recovery from “life-changing injuries”.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
