Four people seriously injured in fiery crash

Four people have been injured in a fiery crash when their car ploughed into a parked truck and erupted into flames in Ipswich.

The driver and three passengers became trapped in the car after it lost control and crashed just metres from a home on Christ St, Redbank just after 11pm on Saturday.

Paramedics were able to free those trapped before the vehicle caught fire.

They were all taken to various hospitals with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Anyone who may have seen the vehicle in the area at the time or has dashcam footage is asked to contact police.

“Investigators will work to establish if the vehicle is the same as the one seen earlier driving dangerously,” Queensland Police said.

Investigations are ongoing.
