Drivers warned of major delays on Sydney motorway following multi-vehicle crash

Sydney drivers have been warned to prepare for major delays on the M5 South-West Motorway, after a multi-vehicle car crash on Monday morning.

All western bound lanes along the M5 approaching Fairford Rd in Padstow have reopened after being closed at 6.30am, tweeted Live Traffic NSW.

But traffic was still heavy and drivers should prepare for delays, the agency said.

Four cars and a motorcycle had collided, said NSW police.

Six patients were assessed at the scene and one person, a man in his fifties, was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

The man had potential leg and arm injuries, NSW ambulance said.
