The search for a fisherman who may have been taken by a crocodile in remote north Queensland has recommenced.
A 65-year-old man from Laura, in Queensland’s Cape York region, was reported missing on Saturday afternoon, and emergency services were called to the Kennedy Bend camping area in Rinyirru (Lakefield) National Park.

Campers nearby told Courier Mail they heard a scream and a commotion near the water.
Queensland’s State Emergency Service, police and a rescue helicopter searched the Kennedy River on Saturday evening, and recommenced the search early Sunday morning.
Visitor information for the park advises people to beware of crocodiles in waterways.
Department of Environment and Science (DES) Wildlife Officers are assisting with the search, police said.
