Ben Roberts-Smith has resigned from his role at Channel 7.
The 44-year-old war veteran had been on leave from his position as General Manager of Seven Queensland throughout his lengthy defamation action against three newspapers.
The Federal Court dismissed the action on Thursday.
In an email to staff on Friday, Seven CEO James Warburton said Roberts-Smith had offered his resignation, which had been accepted.

“We thank Ben for his commitment to Seven and wish him all the best,” he said.
