A Victorian mum has been bashed and cut with a knife during a terrifying Facebook marketplace deal that turned into a carjacking in Melbourne’s western suburbs.
A police manhunt is underway after young mum Jess Kerr experienced the terrifying ordeal when a couple came to inspect her car in Kurunjang near Melton on Sunday.

Kerr said the man “looked a bit rough” when he arrived but she did not want to judge and decided to give the couple a chance.
But things soon went sour when he tried to take the vehicle for a test drive.
She says he threatened her with a pen before thrashing a utility knife at her, yelling: “Get the f out of the car or I’ll stab you with this and give you Hep C.”
“He was just coming for me with it,” she told 7NEWS.
“I just put my hands up, I didn’t realise until later on that he actually did get me – sliced open this finger.”
Kerr said the man then unclicked her seatbelt and tried to force her out of the car but she refused and he sped off down the street.
“He started punching me … in my face, he was belting me and I’m thinking, ‘Am I going to see my kids again?,” she said.
“I didn’t know what he was going to do with me.”
Kerr managed to put her window down and scream for help along the street before the man dumped her on the side of the road and she used a resident’s phone to call for help.
Now, she lives in fear of the family’s return.
“What if they come back, they know where I live,” she said.
