Adelaide Crows premiership power couple share surprise personal news

Adelaide AFLW captain Chelsea Randall and two-time Crows premiership player Marijana Rajcic have announced they are expecting their first child together.

The couple shared the news on Thursday night, alongside a picture of the pair with their dogs, holding an ultrasound picture and a tiny Adelaide Crows guernsey.

The image, captioned ‘Exciting times ahead,’ garnered a flood of congratulatory comments from the AFLW world and other famousn names.

Premiership teammate Najwa Allen wrote, “This baby’s coming out with a gold medal around its neck,” while another star crow Ebony Marinoff gushed “Mini handy Randy and and mini MJ look out world!!!!!”

Former crows captain Erin Phillips said, “The best news!!!! Tracy and I are so happy for you both! Can’t wait to meet Bub!!!”

The pair announced their engagement in March this year in the same way.

The social media announcement, captioned, “It’s a big YES! 🤍💍” was accompanied by a comment from Randall: “My everything #yesinfinitytimesover.”

Rajcic and Randall’s love story began when they entered the reality TV show The Amazing Race. They were best friends but their relationship soon blossomed.

Rajcic had an elite soccer career as captain of Adelaide United before she switched codes and became an AFLW premiership player.

Rajcic announced her retirement from AFLW in January and has since been appointed as one of Adelaide’s new AFLW assistant coaches ahead of Season 8.

Randall guided the Crows to the inaugural AFLW premiership, followed by another two, is a three-time All-Australian and is now the sole captain of the side, since Erin Phillips jumped ship to cross-town rivals Port Adelaide.

The skipper is also part of the men’s coaching ranks where she works as an AFL development coach.
