The Chinese Foreign Ministry quoted a spokesman – who did not specify his name – as saying that China “does not pursue any interest selfishly at all” and opposes geopolitical competition in the region. The spokesman said that China continues to support the countries of the Middle East in “resolving differences through dialogue and consultation. To promote lasting peace and stability.
