A 19-year-old Florida man named Christos Alexander Themelis Jr. killed both of his parents in a horrific incident that involved a gunfight with law enforcement. The incident took place in the Themelis family home late at night. The young man first fatally shot his 51-year-old father inside the house, then went on to shoot his 48-year-old mother on the front lawn in front of officers. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office responded to a frantic 911 call from the shooter’s mother, who reported that her son had shot her husband. As officers arrived at the scene, the mother was instructed to walk toward them, but the son, identified as Themelis, mercilessly shot her in the back of the head.
