At their wedding in Rome, Tosca and Paulo experienced a magical ceremony at the church, with floral designer Andrea Patrizi recreating an Italian Renaissance garden theme inspired by the garden at Paulo’s family’s castle. The church was decorated with topiary art and iron chairs to create an outdoor feel, and a 40-person choir led by Maestro Giovanni Gava brought tears to the congregation. Despite initial nerves, the couple exchanged rings and were overwhelmed with joy during the ceremony, particularly moved by the choir and Cardinal Antonio Tagle’s words.

Following the ceremony, Tosca and Paulo drove off in her father’s 1964 Lancia Flaminia, symbolizing the Italian dolce vita. Despite some difficulty convincing her father to send the car to Rome, everything fell into place. The guests walked to the building next door for aperitivo in the courtyard, before moving to the terrace for dinner with a stunning sunset backdrop overlooking St. Peter’s Cathedral. The evening was filled with love and beauty, leaving a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.

For the second night of celebrations at Castello Ruspoli in Vignanello, Tosca and Paulo wanted to include the town in their festivities. Drawing on their love for Carnival in Rio, they decided to host a Brazilian street party for the residents of Vignanello. They began the evening with medieval Italian flag-wavers and proceeded with the Brazilian street party, combining both cultures in a unique and personal way. The festivities at the castle were a blend of Italian and Brazilian traditions, honoring both of their backgrounds in a joyous and vibrant celebration.

At the castle celebration, Tosca wore a unique Japanese dress made by her godfather Yuki Torimoru, a renowned designer known for creating dresses for Princess Diana. Wanting to choose something different from the traditional princess-style dress associated with castles, she opted for a more modern and Asian-inspired design to reflect her heritage and bring a new element to the Ruspoli family history. The dress was a standout piece, showcasing Tosca’s individuality and blending her diverse cultural influences in a meaningful way.

Overall, Tosca and Paulo’s wedding was a beautiful union of their love and backgrounds, with each aspect carefully planned to reflect their personalities and shared experiences. From the stunning church ceremony to the intimate dinner overlooking Rome’s iconic landmarks, every detail was thoughtfully curated to create a memorable and meaningful celebration. By incorporating elements from Italy, Brazil, and Japan, the couple honored their heritage and brought together their diverse backgrounds in a harmonious and joyous event that will be cherished for years to come. The blend of traditions and personal touches made their wedding a true reflection of their love story and the journey they have embarked on together.
